The retreat takes place at the incredible eco-resort Beach Street in Mandrem, Goa, located right by the ocean, featuring a swimming pool and surrounded by nature.

The Venue

You will practice in two beautiful bamboo shalas surrounded by lush tropical nature and facing the Indian Ocean. Salamanders, squirrels, birds, and other local wildlife will accompany and enrich your practice.

What if I am a beginner in yoga?

The yoga sessions are tailored to all levels of experience. Everyone will learn and grow from their own starting point. Since yoga is practiced daily, you will have plenty of time to become familiar with the different styles and techniques.

This retreat is also a wonderful opportunity to take your practice to the next level, so feel free to ask as many questions as you like! Classes are taught by Chris, Sandra, and experienced local Indian teachers who are experts in their fields.

What should I bring?

Yoga mats and props will be provided. However, you are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer.

Comfortable, lightweight sportswear is essential. Temperatures generally range between 22°C (72°F) at night and 31°C (88°F) during the day.

Many local shops offer affordable clothing suitable for the climate. Don’t forget to bring a swimsuit, a towel for the pool and beach, flip-flops, and a pair of sneakers.

Is there Internet/Wi-Fi?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available so you can stay connected and share your experience with friends and family.

Please note that occasional power outages can occur in India, typically lasting anywhere from a few minutes to about an hour.

Will there be free time?

Absolutely!

Outside of classes, you can relax in the tropical gardens, enjoy the beach and surrounding nature, browse local shops and markets (just a 2-minute walk away), indulge in an Ayurvedic massage or treatment, or enjoy the lively local evenings.

There is no shortage of activities to enjoy.

Which airport should I fly into?

There are two airports in Goa:

• Dabolim Airport (GOI)

• Manohar International Airport (GOX)

The closest airport is Manohar International Airport (GOX).

How do I get to the retreat venue?

A taxi from Manohar International Airport (GOX) costs approximately €12 for a 30-minute journey.

You can easily share a taxi with other retreat participants. Closer to the retreat start date, the venue address will be shared in the retreat WhatsApp group.

Do I need a visa?

Yes, a tourist visa is sufficient and very easy to obtain.

You can apply for an e-Visa through the official Indian government website or through a visa agency.

Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your date of entry into India.

Do I need any vaccinations to enter India?

No, this is currently not a requirement for international travelers.

Do I need to provide a negative COVID test?

No, this is currently not a requirement for international travelers.

Accommodation

You may stay on-site by booking directly with Beach Street.

Comfortable private beach huts or shared twin accommodations facing the ocean are available.

Transportation During Your Stay

Would you like to explore the surrounding areas during your free time?

No problem. Bicycles and scooters can be rented easily and at very affordable prices. Taxis are also readily available and inexpensive.

Booking & Payment

To reserve your place, a €240 deposit is required.

You can then book and pay for your accommodation directly according to your preferences.

The remaining balance for the retreat can be paid upon arrival.
